Wellness Centre Director
Our client has an immediate full-time permanent opportunity available for a Wellness Centre Director in Saskatoon, SK
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring and assessing the Wellness Centre program and service quality to promote a health addiction-free lifestyle and to enhance the well-being of communities by providing holistic (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) counselling in the area of prevention, treatment and aftercare
Ensures the needs are being addressed effectively
Incorporate accreditation processes into Wellness Centre program planning
Addictions Management Information System (AMIS) reporting
Conducting program reviews and preparing/managing program budget requirements
Conducting regular unit meetings to review program strategic goals and objectives and organizational strategic goals and objectives
Developing and enhancing service delivery models in consultation with respective agencies
Develop operational & program policies and procedures manuals for the Wellness Centre
Ensuring all program plans are aligned with company strategic objectives
Provides professional support to the Wellness Centre Program
Provides supervision to assigned Wellness Centre Supervisors to ensure quality programming;
Development and implementation of:
Annual Reports; and
Quarterly Reports.
Works with management to ensure that appropriate communication is maintained throughout the organization.
Works closely with the Nurse Practitioner and nursing staff with regards to client health care, serving as the liaison for medical needs and information.
Works with management and staff to ensure that integrated and consistent care is provided.
Present Wellness center programs to the Communities, Wellness Center Board and, partner agencies.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Addictions related field or equivalent combinations of education and experience
Certified by a recognized Canadian alcohol and drug certification body
Must lead a holistic life of wellness, sobriety, and free of addictions
Minimum five (5) years experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role in mental health treatment and recovery centre;, addiction centres
Experience in administration and addictions fields and counselling programs
Knowledge and understanding of the links between addictions treatment and health issues at the community level
Experience working with budget maintenance and reporting in excess of $2M
Experience in facilitating groups, public speaking, presentations; and writing reports
Being an effective team leader, facilitator, and presenter
Strong organizational skills & able to multi-task
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
Must have experience working with communities
The ability to speak/understand the Cree language will be considered an asset
Must possess valid CPR & First Aid Training and;
Valid class 5 driver’s license;
