Our client has a full-time permanent opportunity available for a District Manager in Toronto, ON

Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the district and providing daily leadership to managers, ensuring quality and budget performance

• Monitoring budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes and performance on regular basis

• Executing proactive strategies to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and other standards and regulations.

• Ensuring thorough Area root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining

• Formulating both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Area Vice President, Director of Operations and Area Sales Director.

• Initiating growth objectives through close partnership with Sales Team realizing targets

• Interacting with local city, municipal and county agencies to ensure customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts and negotiate new contracts, establishing the company as a strong corporate citizen and valued resource.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years in a role with supervisory and PNL responsibility

• Minimum of 3 years in a role with supervisory and PNL responsibility in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations

• Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications

• Strong financial understanding of P&L and working experience preparing and managing budgets.

• Currently residing or able to reside in the Toronto District service area.
