Our client has a full-time permanent opportunity available for a District Manager in Toronto, ON
Managing the day-to-day operations of the district and providing daily leadership to managers, ensuring quality and budget performance
Monitoring budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes and performance on regular basis
Executing proactive strategies to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and other standards and regulations.
Ensuring thorough Area root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining
Formulating both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the Area Vice President, Director of Operations and Area Sales Director.
Initiating growth objectives through close partnership with Sales Team realizing targets
Interacting with local city, municipal and county agencies to ensure customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts and negotiate new contracts, establishing the company as a strong corporate citizen and valued resource.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years in a role with supervisory and PNL responsibility
Minimum of 3 years in a role with supervisory and PNL responsibility in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations
Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications
Strong financial understanding of P&L and working experience preparing and managing budgets.
Currently residing or able to reside in the Toronto District service area.
