Work schedule:  Dayshift, Monday to Friday (6:00am @ 2:30pm)

Job Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, planning tasks throughout the process focusing on work orders.

 

Required Education/Experience:

• College Diploma in engineering or related field

• Minimum of Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a unionized maintenance environment

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general troubleshooting and preventive maintenance programs

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Project management skills

• Practical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Knowledge

• Knowledge of AC/DC electricity

• Initiative and high motivation

• Excellent coaching, meeting facilitation, content presentation, and team-building skills

• Proven ability in assessing mechanical capabilities

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Act as a leader to ensure employee and team member development, as well as performance in quality, service, and safety

• Master programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

• Leverage knowledge and practical experience in operations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability in facilities

• Motivate team members and empower them to achieve performance goals

• Conduct evaluations and allocate necessary resources to meet maintenance needs to support operations and maximize available labor

• Review and authorize regular and overtime hours to minimize labor costs

• Conduct reviews and recommend items for removal or addition for spare parts or spare parts rebuilds in the CMMS and workshop room through the red-tag process.
