Plant Manager
Our client has an immediate full-time permanent opportunity available for a Plant Manager in Cut Knife, SK (possibility to be based in North Battleford or Unity with a daily 45 min commute)
Position Summary:
The Production Engineering Manager (Engineer in Training) (PEM-EIT) oversees plant operations and supervises plant employees to meet specified plant production goals on time and at specified quality.
While ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and procedures. In addition, under the direction of the Executive Vice President of Operations (EVP), the PEM-EIT participates directly in the design, development, and inspection of the plant technical projects and engineering work.
Plant Operations & Maintenance:
Plan, organize and monitor Plant Operations and Maintenance.
Develop, maintain, and provide training on plant-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support efficient and safe operations
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Monitor storage space optimization and ensure scheduled inventory checks are completed and recorded accurately.
Administer safety protocols and enforcement to create a safe work environment for all employees and maintain a safe working record.
Assign, coordinate, and review the technical/operational work of the team to optimize operating results.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requirements: 8-10 years prior experience as a plant manager
Engineering degree
Prior experience managing operations staff and equipment.
Interest in the growing plant protein space
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
